Nintendo try to release the Mario Kart World OST challenge (impossible)

2026/03/22

Yesteday I watched a really interesting video about how fans were to rip Mario Kart World's OST, despite there being no tools available to do so. It genuinely surprises me how Nintendo hasn't officially released the OST on Nintendo Music yet, despite it being like one of the only Switch 2 games that there are rn.

Good that there are fans who challenged themselves to try and record all of the music, gotta respect the effort. It really wasn't easy as there are a lot of sounds when playing like the engine of the kart, the ambience, etc. And using photomode to stop the sounds only works during like freeroam. Fans got so fucking lucky that a bug was found where you could stay out of bounds, since when that happens all sounds get muted and only the music plays... And the amount of variations for each music track is crazy too, also the fact that some of these only play randomly so it required a lot of trial and error. Like I just love how they were able to get the full ost, idk why I just get this feeling of being proud for no reason. Also the fact that Nintendo leaked a lot of the sprites for the game on the website, some using their internal names, which was so funny cause some tracks were intended to be recreations of other ones. Anyways yeah that's it.

New DevNow?!?

2026/03/21

So Devsisters put out their new DevNow presentation today and holy shit, so many news about the CookieRun IP as a whole. While I feel like all of these news are positive, I can't help but feel as if they might be going a bit overboard with everything. I mean, they announced a TON of games and real life events and I'm just not quite sure if they'll be able to handle so much work. Not only that, in the Kingdom news part of the video they also said that they would be reducing the time between updates, which feels like timecrunch hell. I know CookieRun fans aren't the most patient beings on Earth, but this just feels like too much, makes me wonder if they're starting to use AI more to help out with development, since Witch's Castle was found using AI for some sprites... Also the fact that they are even working on non-CookieRun games at the same time (Get THAT Mish 2... How...), it just feels like too much work if they haven't hired more people cause holy shit. I really really hope the developers are being treated nicely at the company.

Now switching to something more positive, I'm happy they're starting to expand the IP worldwide since Europe has never really gotten that much irl content compared to Asia and America. And CookieRun: Sweet Escape Adventure! is getting another worldwide release! Yay! Really hope it doesn't flop like CookieRun India, I wonder how that game is going rn. I really feel as if India was only made to test the waters and, since the moderator for the Discord server, Flatops, made a poll asking where us fans were playing CookieRun India from, it really does feel like they saw our feedback :). Honestly kinda hyped about it but it will suck since we likely won't be able to move our progress from Kakao... Also hope that content doesn't come as slowly as in India since they already had everything coded anyways, it was so absurd only one cookie per update... Hoping it EOS soon. It's gonna be really funny seeing who does it better, 3baked or Classic.

The tale of CantGoRght

2026/03/21

Last month, after seeing SimpleFlips's Walkies 2 and Luck Fuigi videos and seeing all of the gimmick accounts in Super Mario Maker 2 I had an idea for an account to make. I created "CantGoRght" and the rules were simple: no touching the right button, so basically no walking or running to the right. I mostly made this account cause of a comment on one of the videos saying that it would be funny.

I had my whole account set up and I got a week free Nintendo Switch Online subscription thingy and booted up Super Mario Maker 2. Since my account was new, I started on D rank and not a lot of people were playing and those who did didn't even look at my name/understand it. I was basically only able to move right either by getting pushed, being carried or rolling if the level had the 3D World theme.

Around some of the first matches (which I sadly didn't record and that pisses me off cause it was awesome) a 3D World level appeared and I knew it was my time to shine. I got so lucky that the level was a Hammer/Construction Suit one and basically was an excavation level. the floor was all straight so I was able to roll through a good chunk of it. After entering a pipe there were also walls I could walljump off of and chain jumps. I got really unlucky around the end since there was a Boom boom boss and I unfortunately died, but that was a level I could've easily won </3

I did end up recording the matches I played afterwards but they were quite disappoining compared to the one I just mentioned... Also I can't play online anymore since my subscription ran out and I don't really want to support Nintendo financially after they raised the prices for everything so yeah. Mario Maker 3 tomorrow.

Luigi shocked at Mario carrying a Bullet Bill Blaster. Toad and Toadette can be seen in the background

Start of my blog section

2026/03/21

Well, I finally started updating my website after a while. I just kinda didn't feel like it until now due to class and other stuff (and also being lazy). I kinda made this blog section to talk about stuff I do and/or find interesting, be it irl or on the web! Also, this section being made is mostly cränk's fault... I hope I can add cool stuff here.

I should probably find a good image hoster for adding images here, since I'm scared I'm gonna run out of the 1gb Neocities offers. I've thought about maybe using GitHub, but idk cause they're owned by Microslop....
